The **Macmahon** WAC Head Office is located near Perth International Airport, T2. The **Macmahon** office is an award-winning facility with a large, recently upgraded on-site gym, free secure undercover parking and electric vehicle charging stations. The WAC Head Office hosts Macmahon’s centralised support services and operates as the centre of gravity for the wider Australian business.

Macmahon is seeking an experienced** Sourcing Officer** to join the Procurement team on in a permanent full-time capacity. The **Sourcing Officer** is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end sourcing projects and award contracts with the lowest total cost of ownership and lead cost savings, shareholder value and efficiencies across the business.

**_Key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:_**
- Initiate and lead Category / Sourcing projects, with input from internal stakeholders, where significant potential savings have been identified.
- Present proposed sourcing methodology (eg RFP/Tender or direct negotiation) and savings opportunities to seek endorsement from senior managers.
- Conduct RFP/Tender and commercial negotiations on behalf of the company ensuring commercially sensitive/market information is maintained and provided on a consistent basis with all suppliers.
- Recommend suppliers for contract award based on best total cost of ownership in accordance with the Procurement Policy and where site/business requirements / specifications are met.
- Execute contract award ensuring legal sign off and change management requirements are planned and fulfilled.
- Ensure processes and systems are in place that allow accurate category sub
- category reporting and analysis.
- Regularly review category trends and demands to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure supplier spend reports are reviewed and distributed to relevant stakeholders

**_About you_**
- Previous experience in Procurement and Supply chain management
- Understanding and / or experience within a mining and construction related organisation
- Experience with ERP system Mainpac, AX Dynamics Cheops and SAP
- Ability to negotiate / conflict resolution
- Strong verbal and written and communication skills
- Ability to influence correct procurement practices
- Strong analytic skills / trouble shooting
- Strong commercial acumen
- Intermediate to Advanced Computer skills - in particular Excel
