**How will I help?**

This role is responsible for leading the Financial Crime Advisory team for Consumer and Business Banking Division (CBB). As the Head of Financial Crime, CBB, you will be specifically responsible for leading the team to provide advice to the CBB Division on its Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Economic and Trade Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) and Tax Transparency related risks.

The role has a broad set of responsibilities and senior stakeholders. As such the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships is critical to success. An ability to think strategically, execute and drive implementation of change and ability to work independently across multiple diverse initiatives is also key.

It is an expectation of this role to promote a strong risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs. This role is responsible for supporting the uplift in the risk maturity of the business by driving improved risk capability and building a 'community of practice' across the teams.
- Review and challenge 1st Line CBB Division risk management activities and decisions that may materiality affect Westpac’s Financial Crime risk position.
- Review and challenge the effectiveness of 1st Line CBB Division controls, monitoring, compliance, and progress towards mitigating Financial Crime risks
- Support engagement with Regulators on CBB Division specific matters and developments.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of financial crime risk professionals

**What do I need?**
- 10 - 15 year’s specific Financial Crime related experience
- Significant work experience in large complex organisations including experience as a risk professional
- Experience managing multiple and competing stakeholder interests in a complex financial services institute
- Track record of delivering risk transformation and compliance initiatives in a complex regulatory environment
- Strong people leadership capability
