
Village Liaison Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Village Liaison Office (VLO) to join our care team at our largest village in Merrylands.
The VLO is a critical position acting as the first point of contact between residents with our care services that include all aspects of their property (unit) management, activities, Home Care, maintenance, managing feedback and complaints. The is a permanent full time position reporting to the Operations Manager - Retirement Living.
**R**esponsibilities of this role include**:
- Build a strong sense of community for the residents through activities and links to internally and externally provided services
- Facilitate and assist residents’ coordinate social activities
- Property management and maintenance issues for the residents delivered through our internal maintenance and facilities teams.
- Manage budgets, invoicing, coding and general P&L financials.
- Providing excellent onsite service to residents.
- Ensure all complaints and concerns are followed up in a timely manner and logged.
- Supervising onsite activities staff and reception
**As Village Liaison Officer, you will have**:
- Previous experience working in a similar position e.g Community Manager, Home Care Advisor, Strata or Property Manager.
- Positive attitude and used to dealing with people from all walks of life including vulnerable people, people with mental health and reduced physical capacity
- Experience as a team leader or supervisor of staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to assist people at all levels.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in property management or aged care would be highly regarded
- Holds a valid car driver license.
