**Position Information**:
Wadalba Community School is a comprehensive K-12 community school that is located on the Central Coast of NSW. The school supports a diverse socio-economic community and nurtures 306 primary school students and 1346 secondary students, while offering a broad range of learning and wellbeing opportunities for all. The school fosters a strong partnership with the Ngara AECG to ensure highly effective outcomes for its 242 Aboriginal students and has a commitment to ensuring high expectations for all staff and students.

The school maintains a strong focus on improving effective classroom practice through explicit teaching, formative assessment and student agency. The 144 staff are proud of the contemporary teaching and learning practices that they continue to develop and refine, including opportunities to draw on the expertise within a K-12 environment. The school has many specialist facilities which support the delivery of a diverse, quality curriculum, including a recording studio, aquaponics centre and agriculture plot, vocational education facilities, a targeted sports program and dance studio.

Wadalba Community School is part of the Wadalba Schools Learning Community and Tuggerah Lakes Network, which provide a cohesive, collaborative schools approach for the fast-growing Wadalba area. Our school successfully fosters school spirit and pride through combined P&C and school initiatives.

- Proven ability as a highly visible and responsive educational leader with strong pedagogical, strategic and organisational skills, to set high expectations and lead whole school improvement
- Proven ability to lead an inclusive school culture which embeds evidence-based practices to meet the learning and wellbeing needs of all students, including those with complex behaviours
- Demonstrated successful change management processes to cater for a diverse range of staff, while building and sustaining collective efficacy, effective collaboration and strong relational trust
- Demonstrated ability and experience with communicating and engaging with all stakeholders, including partnerships with Aboriginal students and communities to produce outstanding results.

**General Selection Criteria**:

- High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
- Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
- High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
- Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
- Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
- Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
