**Financial Business Partner - Government Funded Institution - CBD**

**Company Background**

Our client is an established institution at the heart of Sydney, who are a focal point both aesthetically and culturally providing education, entertainment and events to the city.

They are going through a period of positive change and are seeking to bring on board 2 talented Finance Business Partners into their finance team for the next year to partner with various business unit heads to ensure the continued growth and success of the business.

**The Role**

As a Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate across the business and focus on:

- Building relationships with Business Unit leaders
- Preparing operating and capital budgets
- Expense and revenue analysis
- Revenue forecasting
- Monitoring financial KPIs
- Monthly and quarterly reforecasting
- Business Unit performance commentary
- Variance analysis
- Assisting with improving financial reporting processes
- Assisting with BI reporting and accounting software rollout
- Support for month-end and year-end closing

**Your Background**

To become a valued member of the team, you will have the following skills and attributes:

- **Immediate availability (no notice period)**:

- **Professionally qualified (CPA, CA, CIMA etc)**:

- Prior experience as a Financial Analyst, Management Accountant, Business Partner or Finance Manager
- Prior experience working within government, or a government funded business is highly regarded
- Strong experience working through the budget process
- Confident approach to building relationships
- Proven ability to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
