**Join Our Team as a Commercial Manager**
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in partnering with our State teams to drive and deliver our business strategy and commercial outcomes. Your focus will be on supporting sustainable Wholesaler and Independent network operations and growth through strategic insights, analytics, and effective governance. Your work will help position our State and Food business for improved profitability, capital efficiency, and the achievement of strategic objectives.
**What You’ll do**
- Collaborate with State Leadership teams to shape future direction and strategy, providing strategic insights and commercially focused business intelligence.
- Develop transformation and business improvement initiatives to enhance profitability, capital efficiency, and strategic objectives, while fostering a high-performance and engaging culture.
- Cultivate strong relationships with State and Commercial Leadership teams, fostering partnerships to achieve organizational strategic goals.
- Establish and maintain credible relationships with key external stakeholders, while supporting sustainable growth and mitigating risks, actively participating in Retailer Committee meetings, and promoting the organization's strategy and culture through partnership with the State Leadership team.
- Lead State input in annual planning and budgeting, ensuring financial goals are established for the State and Food business.
- Provide commercial oversight, leveraging analytical insights to drive business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Business Insights to develop robust reporting tools and lead the development and execution of the shared IGA Network Growth pipeline for the State. Demonstrate a continuous improvement culture and ensure compliance with governance standards.
**What You’ll bring**
- Proficient in forming and nurturing strong relationships with customers, suppliers, service providers, and stakeholders within the Independent Food sector.
- Demonstrates a 'can do' and service-oriented work ethic with a fervent commitment to small businesses.
- A confident and engaging communicator adept at articulating a vision and ideas while fostering collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to achieve mutual benefits with internal and external parties.
- Holds a degree or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrates a successful track record in complex environments and business models, preferably within the Consumer Goods, Wholesale, Retail/Convenience, or Supply Chain sectors, with exceptional presentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Possesses over 7 years of appropriate commercial/business experience, including complex matrix structure management, stakeholder engagement, leadership in strategy development, and a track record of delivering commercial outcomes, continuous improvement, change, and growth initiatives.
- Demonstrates experience in fast-paced, dynamic, and transformative business environments.
