About the Role
Are you a technically accomplished geologist who’s ready to take your career to the next level by driving strategic outcomes across multiple mining operations? At Evolution Mining, we’re looking for a Principal Resource Geologist to join our Group Geology & Resources team, based in either Brisbane or Sydney —whichever suits your lifestyle and career goals.
This is a leadership role where your expertise in geological modelling, resource estimation, and risk assessment will directly influence the long-term success of our operations, particularly at Ernest Henry and Northparkes. You’ll work alongside high-performing site teams, long-term planners, and technical specialists to deliver insights that shape our business strategy and planning.
Your work will be central to enhancing the accuracy, reliability, and value of our Mineral Resource estimates. You’ll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement—where your voice and expertise will be heard and respected.
About you
You hold a degree in geology or geostatistics and have developed deep expertise in resource estimation, including advanced techniques like conditional simulation. You’re comfortable working with complex resource models and have a solid understanding of ore control systems and reconciliation processes. You’re also proficient in industry-standard software such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Isatis, RMS, and Vulcan.
Your career journey may have started in site-based roles, progressed into senior leadership, and evolved into strategic geology. If you’ve worked in consulting, you bring a broad perspective and a solutions-focused approach to your work.
You’re someone who thrives in a technically strong team, enjoys mentoring and supporting others, and is motivated by opportunities to contribute to meaningful outcomes.
