**Manager - Operational Support**

1 Permanent/Temporary Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and established Manager Operational Support to drive and lead a very busy Business Unit

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have experience in managing processes and systems, whilst continually interrogating opportunities to improve business management practices for the Directorate, creating efficiencies where possible by streamlining the way we operate.
- You will need to lead, motivate, control, and provide strategic direction to deliver high quality advice and services aligned to our business requirements, optimise employee achievements, optimal results, and performance, and embrace and engage with Council’s strategic vision for change and growth.
- To achieve best value for Council you will develop and maintain effective budget and asset management programs including in the key areas of Plant, Fleet and Mechanical Services & Stores and Operational Equipment; and
- Contribute to the corporate process relating to the business analysis, evaluation, and planning of all of Councils systems architecture as it relates to improving operational performance.

You will manage the portfolios of:

- Business Improvement & Support
- Operational Strategies, Policies and Plans
- Operational Project Management
- Plant, Fleet & Mechanical
- Stores & Operational Equipment
- Emergency Management
- Chain of Responsibility Requirements
