Experienced Ndis Support Coordinator

This is an exciting time to be working at AASS Our team is growing and we are expanding into
Northern NSW (Tweed Heads). We are looking for experienced and driven NDIS Support
Coordinators to come along on this journey and work collaboratively with our friendly team in
Liverpool. This role will initially require working remotely from home until we transition into an
office premises local to Tweed Heads. We have a wonderful Team Leader on the grounds already to
support and mentor you from your first day.

**About the role**:
The primary purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with participants, their families, service
providers and other stakeholders to ensure the implementation of individual NDIS Support plans and
achievement of participant goals. You will be responsible for matching participants with communitybased, funded and/or mainstream supports to fulfil their individual needs as per individual NDIS
plans, whilst providing continuous support and assistance across the timeframe of each plan. You
will support the participant to build capacity to achieve greater independence to self-direct their
own services and supports.
**About you**:
Interested? This may be your next exciting new role if you have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive relevant experience in working in
disability services, social work or a similar environment.
- Experience and skills to work competently alongside people, their family and carers in their local
community to build their capacity to participate in the community and manage some or all aspects
of their plan.
- Experience working with people, their families and carers to identify and access opportunities for
education and employment.
- Well-developed communication (both oral and written) skills with the capacity to prepare reports
and correspondence in clear and concise language and the ability to assimilate information from
other, present information in a manner appropriate to the purpose and audience.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, measure and report on outcomes.
- You have well-developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to liaise effectively with a wide range
of customers and service providers.
- Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, Disability Act 2006 and other relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of the current trends in service delivery in the community sector, particularly the
changing landscape of the disability sector.
- Knowledge of the NDIS Operational Guidelines.
- Experience working in an NDIS environment.
- Must have NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Working with Children Check Number and current
First Aid Certificate.
