**Accountabilities include**:

- Identify complex strategic transport policy issues, develop options and recommendations, and contribute to the implementation of projects, and/or programs that support the direction for the transport system in Queensland.
- Inform strategic positioning activities for TMR in response to emerging customer requirements, and local, state and national transport system policy and issues.
- Provide high level advice on transport system priorities, policy and challenges related to policies associated with shaping the transport system and other emerging transport policy issues.
- Research and analyse issues, risks and challenges confronting the transport system.
- Support others in your respective Unit to contribute to the overall deliverables within the section and support other programs of work as required, including leading project management and reporting responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders across the department, government, industry and community in relation to the achievement of strategic transport system priorities.
- Represent the department as required in relation to organisational and local, state and national transport issues and policies.
- Participate in project teams, comprising internal and external resources to develop and implement strategic transport policy and initiatives within agreed quality, cost and time parameters.
- Actively participate, in a constructive way, in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.

The roles work closely with the respective Managers to lead the team and mentor other team members.
