The State Operations Manager leads a team of skilled technicians and project administration staff to execute projects to repair and maintain commercial and industrial roofs. The position requires strong skills in people management, stakeholder relationship management, and management of overall business unit performance. Our organisation is experiencing consistent growth, allowing you to develop within and beyond the role. You will continue to deliver the excellent outcomes R&BS is known for through our operational and financial plans, while bringing their own skills to enhance our operations.

**About you**:

- Demonstrated experience in operations management in a similar field
- Demonstrated experience in people management and leadership
- Excellent communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Ability to manage growth and change to enhance business success
- Ability to prioritise, persist, handle challenges, with exceptional organisational skills
- Computer literate with ability to learn new programs
- Team player with contagious positive energy, attitude, work ethic, and accountability
- Ability to manage teams to meet targets, persisting through challenges
- Demonstrates excellent leadership behaviours, being open, honest, and professional always

**Responsibilities include**:

- Management of team of technicians and project administration team, including constant improvement on team culture
- Recruitment, planning, and implement ongoing training and development of operations team
- Review and approve project plans against previous projects and historical lead times to ensure plans are achievable
- Monitor project costs and compare with project progress to identify project cost overruns and implement corrective actions
- Monitor project quality and minimise reworks
- Oversee the management of vehicles, our warehouse, inventory, vehicles
- Ensure the operations are following our operational and financial plan, and finding ways to constantly improve on this
- Ensure all WHS requirements are being met daily by teams and contractors
