**What You Will Be Doing**

The Mental Health Consultation Liaison (MHCL) Clinician, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, provides timely and responsive mental health assessment and treatment to people who require urgent mental health assessment, treatment and support.
The Grade 4 works as a senior member of the MHCL team, providing leadership and support to other team members, along with shift leading when required. The Grade 4 also works closely with the Grade 5 ED MH/AOD Coordinator to prioritize assessments, assist with patient flow and management within the emergency department and ensure a comprehensive, collaborative approach to providing high quality, client centred care is established.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Qualified Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014, the National Standards for Mental Health Services 2010, the National Standards for the Mental Health Workforce 2002 and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards including EQuIP
- Communicates well with and relates to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
- Working knowledge of discipline specific legislation relevant to clinical practice
- Takes responsibility for own actions and is proactive and self-starting.
- Extensive experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care
