Perth Operations Manager

**The Role**

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, this senior leadership role oversees and coordinates all Perth branch operational activities relating to warehouse, transport, and demand planning operations. This includes ensuring branch and employee adherence to all legislative and company compliance requirements, executing state and national projects, identifying areas for continuous improvement and maximising workflow and budget efficiencies.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Identify OH&S issues, support and assist in implementing initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Lead and motivate the operations teams to achieve short and long-term operational objectives.
- Monitor and report on all budget objectives ensuring targets are maintained and exceeded.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives by implementing mid to long term initiatives which maximise operational efficiencies.
- Liaise with internal and external key stake holders to identify and resolve customer service and supply chain challenges.
- Assist branch to streamline picking rates, levels of picking accuracy and keep credits to minimum KPI standards.
- Assist managers to ensure deliveries are completed in a safe and timely manner and actively contribute to all planning pertaining to delivery routes and run structures.
- Understand and support HACCP, quality and food safety requirements within the standards and timelines required.
- Drive and support staff evaluation, recruitment and training as required.
- Ensure all company procedures and policies are always adhered to.

**Knowledge, skills and qualities**
- High level of OH&S process knowledge and experience (risk, incident, and injury management)
- High level of knowledge and experience in end to end operational, warehouse, transport and distribution functions.
- Excellent knowledge of Food Service Industry - in particular, the cold store process.
- Good knowledge of HACCP regulations and internal audit process.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Ability to coach managers and supervisors to create a positive team environment.
- Solid business acumen and sharp decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional disposition.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
- A graduate qualification in operations is desirable.
