The Queensland Parliamentary Service is an independent statutory authority that provides a range of procedural, administrative and support services to the Legislative Assembly, its Members and committees. Property Services is a division of the Queensland Parliamentary Service that is responsible for maintaining and improving the physical environment and support facilities within the Parliamentary Precinct in Brisbane and in 97 Member's Electorate Offices across Queensland.
As the Facilities Supervisor, you will report to the Facilities Manager and be responsible for managing the delivery of cleaning, gardening, waste management and laundry services within the Parliamentary Precinct. You will also lead and manage the operation of the Facilities Helpdesk, including the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will assist with the preparation and execution of scheduled maintenance plans and programs, as well as supporting the Facilities Manager in delivering maintenance projects. You will actively manage staff and contractors and assist to lead a multidisciplinary technical team responsible for supporting all technical aspects of operating, optimising, troubleshooting, and maintaining all Queensland Parliamentary Services (QPS) facilities assets. You will ensure that all Workplace Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (WHSEQ) policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to have**:

- A relevant qualification in facilities management, engineering, building services or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of staff and contractors to deliver high-quality cleaning, gardening and maintenance services within a large and complex organisation;
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WHSEQ legislation, standards, policies and procedures relevant to facilities management;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, organise and monitor work activities to meet deadlines and achieve outcomes;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing; and
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Brisbane CBD.
