About us
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT is part of Victoria's justice system and serves the community by resolving civil and administrative disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. VCAT services a diverse range of Victorian disputes, from residential tenancy matters to complex building and property and human rights matters, which have a deep reach into the Victorian community and a direct impact on the economy.
VCAT is headquartered in the Melbourne CBD, and also delivers its services online and in person across Victoria through its three standalone suburban venues and the network of regional court venues.
In addition to its core business VCAT has commenced a major digitally enabled four-year service transformation.
About the role
- Provide complex technical advice, and where required undertake independent research to verify a position, and implement, where agreed, in the migration and establishment of data analytics infrastructure in a cloud-based environment.
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders, with the ability to engage and draw out the needs and requirements of the stakeholders and to negotiate win-win outcomes in the delivery of the services.
- The role works collaboratively with colleagues, making suggestions, constructively challenging the team thinking, trialling innovative solutions and embracing new technologies, leading to improved service delivery.

About you
- Extensive experience in working in Data Warehouses (Preferably in a cloud-based environment) and analytical reporting packages (E.g., Power BI) and languages for advanced analytics (E.g., R, Python).
- Extensive demonstrated experience of working in relational databases
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective communications and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality services
