**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**About the role**:
***Tyrrell’s are proud custodians of some of the rarest and oldest vine material in the world and have shown unrivalled expertise in crafting these resources into internationally acclaimed wines. They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to fill a new full-time role within their established, close-kinit Vineyard team in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, NSW.

This hands-on management role will both draw on and expand your expertise in a variety of vineyard activities, following seasonal requirements and in order to assist in developing and maintaining these ancient and rare vineyards. The role will include overseeing staff in day to day activities and reports to the Vineyard Manager. Commitment and success will be rewarded by the opportunity for professional and career development with the company.

This role reports direct to the Vineyard Manager.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
Duties Include:

- Assisting Vineyard Manager on day to day operations
- Keeps records of daily activities, employees and operations
- Supervision of Vineyard Employees
- Vineyard Machinery Operations - tractor and implements
- General in season vine maintenance
- Pruning
- Hand picking
- Irrigation Repairs/Operations
- Harvesting Operations
- Soil Management Operations
- Herbicide & Fungicide Spraying
- Pest and disease monitoring

Skills & Experience:

- Self-motivated
- Strong communication skills
- Farm / Viticulture or Horticultural Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Viticulture
- Previous Mechanical Harvester operating is an advantage
- Tractor operations
- Drivers Licence
- Truck Licence desirable
- Chemical Users Certificate

An excellent remuneration package, will be offered to the successful applicant, based on knowledge and past experience. Support with family relocation and visa may be provided, as appropriate. There is also the possibility of shared accommodation on site.
