QTC is the central financing authority for the Queensland Government and provides financial resources and services for the State. We manage the State’s funding program in the global capital markets to deliver sustainable and cost-effective borrowings for the Queensland Government, local governments, and other related entities (our clients).
With a statutory role to advance the financial interests and development of the State, we help to deliver innovative, long-term solutions that contribute to the growth of Queensland’s economy. We protect Queensland’s financial interests and deliver better financial outcomes by centralising the management of our clients’ borrowings, cash investments, and foreign exchange.
The Project Coordinator will support the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in ensuring the successful delivery of program and projects for QTC. The Project Coordinator will assist the broader PMO team in the planning, monitoring, reporting, and delivery of project activities and supporting with the governance and oversight of QTC’s project portfolio.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Assist project teams in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and other project documentation.
- Monitor and report on project status, progress, issues, risks, and changes and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Write and contribute to project briefs, business cases, and other documentation required as part of project planning and approval processes.
- Maintain documentation and databases related to the portfolio, programs, and projects, and ensure records are accurate and kept up-to-date.
- Provide support to the PMO and project teams by coordinating, facilitating, and capturing outcomes from portfolio and project meetings, workshops, reviews, and other stakeholder engagement activities.
- Produce and maintain informational dashboards and reporting on QTC’s project portfolio.
- Assist in monitoring, coordinating, and recording the completion of project governance tasks, including project approvals, closures, and benefits realisation activities and documentation.
- Provide support to the PMO and project teams by tracking, communicating and scheduling preparation time for important events, such as Board Meetings, Project Go-Lives, and Portfolio Reviews.
- Assist with planning and conducting change management activities as part of project delivery.
- Other duties as deemed relevant to business requirements and within the technical competency of the position.

**Qualifications**
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or significant equivalent contribution and understanding.
Desirable
- Certification or training in project management such as CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum.
**Experience**
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a project coordination or similar role (e.g. executive administration, business support).
Desirable
- Demonstrated experience in supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working within a Portfolio Management Office or similar environment.
- Financial services and/or government industry experience.
