**Configuration Manager**

**Location**: Canberra

**Clearance**: Hold or Ability to obtain Baseline

**Contract**: 6 month + extension

Our federal government client is seeking a Configuration Manager with expertise in the Configuration Management lifecycle and its corresponding ITIL protocols.

**Responsibility**
- Ensure the consistent delivery of Configuration Management services on a daily basis from start to finish.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the process, including setting priorities and assigning tasks.
- Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, addressing any compliance issues as needed.
- Evaluate outcomes and responses to critical incidents and manage failed changes attributable to CMS-related issues.
- Foster communication and collaboration with business, Corporate, and National Infrastructure ICT management to promote the value of configuration management efforts.
- Collaborate with strategic projects to ensure timely delivery of required CMS functionality.
- Assess and authorise changes to the CMS infrastructure as appropriate.
- Review and authorise Corporate ICT and Infrastructure changes to ensure proper handling of configuration management data impacts.
- Provide guidance to the organisation on Configuration Management services, principles, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and approve all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc., to support the enhancement or introduction of CMS functionality.
- Approve requests for administrator log-on credentials/access rights to the CMS infrastructure.
- Review and distribute configuration management reports.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Comprehensive familiarity and practical experience with all stages of the Configuration Management lifecycle and associated ITIL procedures.
- Possession of ITIL4 Practitioner certification.
- Extensive hands-on experience utilising ServiceNow's CMDB.
- Background, credentials, and proficient comprehension of CMDB.
- Proficiency, credentials, and solid comprehension of IT Service Management.
- Experience and solid grasp of all phases of the software development cycle.
- Prior involvement in a swiftly moving digital solutions-oriented organisation in the role of Configuration Manager.
