**Role**:
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction mínimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
**Responsibilities**:
**Human Resources**
- Contribute to workforce planning strategies and plans for the school.
- Manage confidential storage and retrieval of all HR, and Payroll files ensuring documentation is maintained at the highest level.
- Provide high level advice and support to the Principal Team on HR matters.
- Prepare correspondence to staff on leave requests, time fraction changes and retirements/resignation and update staffing records.
- Liaise with successful applicants to obtain appropriate information in preparation for hire and induction.
- Prepare collect and process all employment documentation, providing advice and support to the successful applicant.
- Process Edupay/local payroll including leave records, processing local fortnightly payroll complete work schedules for all part-time staff, and WorkCover administration.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment including entering job requisitions, applicant processing and interview arrangements.
- Ensure all Performance and Development Plans (PDP) are updated and monitored.
- Organise Professional Development Days and training for ES staff.
- Support management of key register and issuing of keys
**Office Management**
- Ensure the professional operation of the school administration.
- Deliver proactive administrative and organisational procedures to maximise the school¿s operations.
- Support the Sick Bay staff.
- Oversee the administrative support services for the school.
**OHS and Workers Compensation**
- Support College OHS and RTW Officers.
- Ensure all Workers compensation and RTW documentation and processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with maintaining OHS policies and procedures and related processes.
- Assist with maintaining the College Emergency Management Plan.
**Other Duties**
- Participate as a member of relevant sub-Committees and working groups including minute taking.
- Willingness and commitment to undertake professional learning as required.
- Other duties as directed by the Business Manager.
