**About the role**
- We are seeking a Scientific Officer who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team who will be responsible for:

- Preparation, analysis and tetsing of specimens and/or assays
- Perform designated testing procedures as outlined in methods and procedures, ensuring adherance to NPAAC/NATA ISO15189 requirements
- Assisting with Stock Control Compliance with records maintenance and recording of results in line with protocols
- Maintaining all equipment and operating equipment in line with protocols
- Maintaining current scientific knowledge
- Participation in both routine and audit related Quality Assurance activities
- Liaising with internal and/ or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary
- Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes.

**About you**
- To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:

- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent AIMS accreditiation
- Full working rights in Australia
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise and skills within the respective discipline
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and accountability
- Strong communication and organisational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work as a part of a collaborative team and contribute to team performance Knowledge of quality assurance systems and scientific instrumentation and equipment Awareness of the Workplace Health and Safety processes and procedures
