**The role**:
The HO Cyber Detection & Response is responsible for protecting the bank from harm by understanding threats, detecting and responding to malicious attack.

**The role and Day to day will include**:

- Own and drive cyber threat detection & response for the enterprise - including ownership of relevant aspects of the Threat-Led Risk Framework
- Ensure detection capabilities, including visibility, telemetry and coverage are appropriate to detect cyber threats in a timely manner
- Establish and operationalise threat hunting capability including people and processes to proactively detect cyber threats
- Ensure response capabilities, including incident response plans and procedures, are appropriate to manage events and incidents
- Ensure teams are appropriately trained to understand and detect threats and respond to cyber incidents
- Work with Cyber Threat Management and Offensive Security to ensure detection capabilities support priority threats
- Proactively work with Executives, Head Ofs and respective Control / Process / Service Owners to improve controls that support detection of key threats and scenarios
- Produce periodic management reporting including metrics, performance and insights
- including periodic updates and papers to risk committees
- Embed the Threat-Led Risk Framework across relevant teams and processes - ensuring a common taxonomy and unified approach
- Stay abreast of current and emerging threats and best practice
- Other activities as required by management

**What you'll bring**:

- 15+ years in a related role
- 5+ years of leading large teams
- Strong people leadership skills
- Deep understanding of cyber security threats, trends and controls
- Proven experience in running enterprise grade security systems
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, including executive presentations.
