**Your New Company**
DecoRug is an innovative, a multi-award winning retailer. Launched in 1993 we now operate a significant retail network throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.

We are much _‘More Than Just a Rug Store’ _as our original positioning statement would suggest. Sure we sell Decorator Rugs - and plenty of them, in fact we’ve added that touch of style to thousands of living spaces over the years But it doesn’t end there, we’re also a highly successful retailer of Pre-Finished Timber and Laminate Flooring, Wall-to-Wall Carpet, Custom-Made Window Shutters and Blinds as well

**Your New Role**
As we rapidly grew from 12 to 31 stores prior to Covid, our marketing efforts have been managed through an outsourced partner. With further growth plans in the horizon, we are looking for a Head of Marketing to join us at this exciting time, and build an in-house Marketing function and take our brand to the next level.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a part of the senior leadership team. Working collaboratively with Store, Operations and Merchandise teams, the purpose of this role will be to establish a consumer focused, commercially astute and effective marketing function for DecoRug, and our sister brand Brand Ventures to increase brand growth, customer acquisition and loyalty.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Develop, maintain and execute brand and marketing strategy for the group
- Build, develop and provide leadership to the marketing team
- Define and execute on opportunities to improve brand positioning, awareness, brand perception and to increase sales
- Build and manage marketing calendar across multiple brands on both digital and traditional channels
- Develop, improve and manage the roll-out of promotions, product launches and marketing campaigns
- Grow our customer base, increase retention and loyalty, and enhance the customer experience across all channels.
- Build and oversee the execution of the digital marketing plan across social, search, CRM and online.
- Take the lead in managing and growing our influencer and brand ambassador strategy by building strong relationships with talent and agents
- Manage yearly marketing budgets and align costs with strategic objectives
- Lead and develop local area marketing and new store opening marketing initiatives for corporate and franchise stores
- Build and maintain relationships with media, digital and creative agencies (internal and external) to ensure best in class outcomes for the brand

**About You**
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in a similar role showing the ability to develop and execute innovative and integrated brand and marketing strategies in a multi-channel retail environment.
- Ability to establish and lead a multi-layered retail marketing strategy and plan
- A willingness to be hands on, and roll your sleeves up while building the function from ground up
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Commerce/Communications or similar field
- Digital Marketing and Ecommerce experience and performance marketing savvy
- A passionate marketer, with an interest in home design and home building/renovations
- Experience working within the creative process and in particular working with graphic designers and photographers
- Driven, detail oriented and well organised, great time management and an ability to multitask
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with external brands, suppliers and agencies
- Competent with Adobe Suite and other marketing tools
- Commercially astute, data and analytics driven
- Wholesale and B2B experience (desired)
