**YMCA Vocational School: Moreton Bay Junior Campus **is recruiting for a **Teacher **to join our dedicated, multi-disciplinary team on a **Permanent Full-Time **basis located in **Mango Hill.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role of a **Teacher** at **Moreton Bay **is to deliver academic and wellbeing programs to students, Support the delivery of vocational training programs and Support the Head of Campus in operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing and vocational objectives.

Additional responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Create and deliver lessons in accordance with the guidelines and parameters provided by the Head of Curriculum’s Wellbeing framework
- Produce and distribute student academic and wellbeing reports prior to the conclusion of each school semester
- Collaborate constructively and positively with all school staff, across both campuses, in the development and evaluation of curriculum
- Respond to the needs of students, their parent and/or carer and wider community to ensure the quality of service meets agreed standards

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Hold a relevant Bachelor degree, current Queensland Teacher Registration with experience in either English or Maths
- Ability to plan and prepare teaching & learning programs to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education, while ensuring the program is consistent with the relevant syllabi, curriculum policies and vocational objectives.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills
- First Aid & CPR Certificates; or willingness to obtain

- YMCA Vocational Schools will match the teaching level you are currently on as well as provide the opportunity for salary sacrifice. This equates to roughly an extra $10,000 per year on top of your salary or $6,000 extra in hand.
- Our working year is 195 days total with 25 of those days being non-contact time focusing on: 15 days professional development and 10 days focused on student individualised planning.
- Our school days are 9.30 - 1pm Monday & Friday, & 9.30 - 2.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, &Thursday.
