**Job description**
- **Disability Support Workers needed URGENTLY in Westmead, NSW (experienced FEMALE Staff ONLY)**_

National Disability and Mental Health Services (**NDMHS**) is looking for experienced _**Disability Support Workers**_with good communication skills_._

The company provides a wide range of services to individuals with a disability and their families. We provide services across Sydney and have many positions available.

Applicants must be authorized to work in Australia, must have Valid Driving License (Australian or International) and reliable car.

We are looking to recruit someone who is motivated to provide a range of flexible supports to people with a disability. We are seeking someone who is experienced and passionate and have a positive attitude to support individuals in leading a more independent and fulfilled life.

Role specific needs.

To assist client to do shopping and attending appointments.

You will have the ability to assist people with:

- Personal care
- Community engagement
- Domestic assistance
- Learning support
- Behaviour Management & Intervention

**Core objectives include**:

- Provide support to patients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Understand and provide appropriate care to patients with low needs to patients with high needs

who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours.
- Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
- Work under general guidance from the person seeking support, and their family, within clearly

defined guidelines.
- Providing personal care to people with disabilities

**Requirements**:

- Current CPR & First Aid (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- Working With Children Check (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- NDIS Worker Check (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- Must have Insured car & valid driving license.
- Manual Handling certificate (OR willing to obtain after joining)

**Weekly hours: 20-40 hours (depending on your availability)**

**Pay rate $32.75-$74.22 per hour.**
