Operational Risk Executive/manager

This exciting opportunity within Macquarie Capital division, will see you as a member of our first line of defence risk team, focusing on managing and implementing strategic enterprise risk projects and ensuring data risks across systems and regulatory reports are effectively identified and managed in relation to critical business processes.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist in identifying operational risks related to data across Macquarie Capital, from data creation, all the way through to financial and regulatory reporting.
- Assess the adequacy of controls to manage data and reporting risks, including recommending enhanced or additional controls.
- Complete reviews of data flows across Macquarie Capital in collaboration with the Macquarie Capital Group Data office
- Assist the implementation operational risk frameworks (including incidents, RCSA and assurance) to ensure compliance with Macquarie’s Enterprise Data Management, Regulatory Reporting and Records and Information Management requirements and policies.
- Support internal and external audits covering data, regulatory reviews and inspections.
- Advise on data risks and controls as part of Macquarie Capital system and change initiatives.
- Assist the business on the identification, assessment and management of emerging data risks and controls.

To be successful in the role you will have 4-7 years of Operational Risk experience with a specific focus on data and/or data risk gained within a dynamic financial institution or financial services firm and the commercial experience and analytical mindset to make sound recommendations on data risks and issues.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels will be essential to your success as well as your ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Being tenacious, agile and with the proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment, along with working knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Macquarie operates, will help you be successful in this role.
