  • Be a trusted advisor on business management of cyber risk ,emerging threats, and risk governance

What's the role?
We're looking for a senior cyber risk leader to join Westpac's second line Cyber Risk team. In this role, you'll provide oversight, insight, and challenge across the Group's cyber risk landscape including application security, identity and access, third-party risk, and AI-related threats.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to shape cyber risk strategy, oversight controls, and ensure the Group operates within its cyber risk appetite. This is a high-impact role with visibility across executive forums and the opportunity to influence how Westpac manages cyber risk at scale.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney with flexible working arrangement available.

What do I need?
We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity and operational risk
  • Experience in one or more domains: application security, IAM, data security, AI, or threat detection and response
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, SABSA, PCI DSS
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA) highly regarded
