The Role

As a result of our continued expansion, we are now seeking a highly motivated Deals Desk Analyst based in Sydney to further support our growth across APJ/ANZ region. Our Deals Desk team is a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) in Proofpoint product pricing models and deal structure, industry pricing and cyber security purchasing trends. Ideally, we would like to see background in cybersecurity but if you’re from a different industry working with subscription-based models or SaaS/software products, we still want to talk to you

Your day-to-day
- Partner with our sales team as a trusted advisor to review, assess, structure and execute pricing requests, ensuring a competitive and profitable pricing structure.
- Work closely with channel management and marketing to help maintain consistency and mutually beneficial (profitable) customer deals through our Channel Partners.
- Facilitate pricing and approval review process for net new and renewal opportunities.
- Work directly and collaborate with many other business units and teams including Finance, Sales Operations, Professional Services and Legal to name a few.
- Engage with sales teams across APJ to develop pricing best practices and deal structure for cyber security opportunities.
- Gather and organise data on current and historical customer deals/pricing and then develop models to interpret and analyse future deal pricing.
- Actively contribute to the continuing improvement and refinement of Deal Desk operations and processes.

What you bring to the team
- Prior experience in Pricing or Deal Desk is a must.
- Good understanding of different routes to market (working in collaboration with partner organizations).
- Experience in SaaS solutions within Cyber Security landscape highly advantageous.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to leverage complex data sets for justification.
- Strong numerical skills, ability to work with numbers under pressure, analytical in approach
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with sales teams as well as C-Level.
- Must be organised and detail oriented.
- Ability to use CRM and other on-line tools effectively (experience with Salesforce and Excel is required).
- Fluent in English and ability to converse in Japanese and/or Korean is considered as advantage.
- Flexible to work outside of Sydney normal working hours to support Asia
