**Lead the change, from the frontline**

As a valued member of our Retail Sales team, the
**Sales Support Consultant** will be responsible for expanding and retaining Shell Energy’s C&I customer base. This is a fixed term 12 month contract role.

Based in
**Brisbane** or
**Melbourne**, the primary focus of this role is to support the wider sales team in assisting with all aspects of processing and responding to customer and broker/consultant requests.

With respect, integrity and honesty, you will:

- Manage customer accounts and the customer enquiries;
- Hold customer meetings (Face to face, conference calls) if required;
- Respond to sales enquiries;
- Regulatory, sales and customer reporting;
- Respond to invoice and data requests and other administrative enquiries from customers and brokers;
- Assist with web portal set up and training;
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system development to deliver greater success and business efficiencies;
- Provide administrative support to the C&I Sales customer service teams; and
- Comply with all relevant company procedures.

**What you’ll bring**

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

- Understanding of the energy sector, preferably within a retail environment;
- Experience in successfully selling to or servicing business customers;
- Proven track record in supporting a sales team in meeting targets and KPI's;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
- Ability to manage expectations and deliver to committed timeframes in a fast paced environment;
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate good business and customer outcomes;
- Demonstrated desire and interest in helping customers and maintaining strong relationships;
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal systems and processes;
- Competent Excel skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to meet personal objectives as well as aligning to team goals; and
- Capable of working as part of a team and autonomously.
