Pursuits & Proposals Manager (Fixed Term Contract)

**Role description**:
As a Pursuits & Proposals Manager to cover a parental leave block, you will be responsible for the Management of selected pursuits and bids, including performing the role of Pursuit Leader for selected opportunities. You will ensure preparation of our bids are consistently of a high standard, and in accordance with best practice bid strategies with a view to increasing strike rate and margin. This position can be based in any of our locations and will be part of our centralised proposals team.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Take ownership of specific major pursuits as the Pursuit Leader, particularly in the early stages where data collection / gathering market intelligence / market positioning activities dominate
- Provide an oversight of the quality and consistency of our bids, taking into account lessons-learnt to improve strike rates, and improving our compliance with best-bidding strategies
- Look for and drive improvements in our Bid Management processes ensuring any best practices are filtered back to the Business and SPEC
- Author compelling non-technical elements and assist with technical elements of proposals as required
- Contribute to sales meetings with Pursuit Managers and Business Leaders
- Exposure and engagement with Clients in pursuit, bidding and post submission debriefs to be able to continuously improve our proposal and bidding strategies.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
First and foremost, you share our passion for winning work, improving the quality of life and know that our people are what gets us there. You pride yourself on your stakeholder management skills; being able to foster positive working relationships and you listen so that you really get to know what our business is about. You will come to us with a proven track record in proposal/bid management, working within a management consulting firm and are familiar with major infrastructure projects. You will also demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, effective stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and negotiate outcomes when needed.

With exceptional attention to detail, you will have proven ability to lead a proposal program, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and are comfortable in building strong relationships and influencing positive outcomes. Furthermore, an advanced experience in Microsoft Office suite of programs is essential.
