Then you may be the person we are looking for. Joint Logistics Command is looking for a Logistics Capability Planning Officer in Explosive Ordnance Branch. In this role, you will calculate and communicate the impact of key capability decisions on the ADF explosive ordnance Storage and Distribution network. You will use your initiative and experience to analyse, plan, review and adjust priorities and work activities to meet business outcomes.
The successful applicant will:
- Maintain and update Capacity reporting (Excel based).
- Conduct analysis of network capacity and utilisation.
- Communicate and representing the Branch interests with an array of stakeholders, including new Capability projects and the Guided Weapon and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Group.
- Support and develop storage and distribution network planning.
**About our Team**
The Directorate of Logistics - Explosive Ordnance comprises of four functional areas in support of the ADF EO enterprise; covering storage and distribution, contract management, EO Licensing, facilities planning and delivery; and logistics Capability planning.
In this role, the Explosive Ordnance Capability Planning Officer will be part of a small team supporting and reporting to the Deputy Director EO Logistics Capability Planning.
Ideally, you will have strong Microsoft Excel skills to maintain our capacity reporting tool and the ability to analyse and interrogate the results from a variety of systems. You will have a healthy level of curiosity to investigate information from diverse sources and explore innovative approaches to support the longer-term business objectives. You will be required to engage with a number of varying stakeholders, and manage stakeholder expectations to achieve agreed outcomes. You will be required to work independently with limited direction as part of a small team.
To be successful in this role, you will be organised, yet adaptable and flexible, have a positive, hard-working attitude and a high level of communication and writing skills. Experience and understanding in hazardous or dangerous goods logistics planning would be an advantage.
