Female Disability Support Workers

**We have an amazing opportunity to work with two Clients** (a father and his daughter) located in Bundamba, who are looking for Female Support Workers to join their respective Support Worker teams and support them in living their best lives. Read on about our incredible Clients.

**Our first Client** is a down to earth Aussie bloke in his early 40s who is looking for an enthusiastic Support Worker who enjoys a good laugh and a bit of friendly banter. He loves the outdoors especially all his pet animals, as well as fishing and camping therefore he requires Support Worker's that are comfortable around animals of all sorts. He has a disability friendly van and therefor the ideal Support Worker needs to have a valid open driver's license to drive his van when required.  

This family man is a wheelchair user who relies on his motorised wheelchair to get around. As such, Support Workers play a crucial role in helping him to live fulfilling and independent life through assistance with tasks such as personal care, household chores, community access, and more, depending on his specific needs

Shifts are available 7 days a week as follows**:6:00am - 9:00am, 8:00pm - 10:00pm** & **Wednesday & Thursday’s 9:30am - 1:00pm**

**Our second Client**is a young late teens lady who is looking for a fun and passionate Female Support Worker. Someone that enjoys horror movies, arts and who loves animals - especially horses. She needs an individual who can support her in the community, helping her to develop independence and daily living skills. 

This young lady requires someone who can assist and motivate her in getting ready for the day and building confidence in having a morning routine. Occasionally may also include, taking her to appointments, shopping, cooking or heading to the beach for some fishing Your own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.

Shifts are available 7 days a week as follows**:7:00am - 9:00am,**there is potential for these shifts to increase.

**QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $34.45, Evening $37.00, Night $38.00, Saturday $47.00, Sunday $60.50, Public Holidays $73.80 -**_ **(sorry, rate not negotiable).**_

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency of **C**lients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

- Resonate with the role description above
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card

Pay: $34.45 - $39.99 per hour
