The role

You will be joining Country Road Group as a Store Designer. Under the direction of the Store Design Manager, you will design new and refurbished stores ready for construction - specifically for Witchery, Mimco and Politix.

Key responsibilities
- Continually improve the store design by researching and developing new ideas, fixtures, joinery and furniture for stores.
- Manage the design and documentation from concept through to the completed built environment.
- Ensure that all design requirements and design briefs from the architects, engineers, and council requirements are incorporated into drawings.
- Review and maintain drawings, specifications and finishes for each brand.
- Review services documentation against tenancy plans to identify discrepancies and resolve by liaising back with services consultants.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including brand VM and Retail Managers, Department Store Design teams, Shopping Centre RDMs, Designers, Architects, and Builders to ensure smooth and timely completion of drawings.
- Working closely with the internal Project Management team to ensure all documentation is completed within the nominated program, budget and design scope.
- Having an understanding of and working to statutory building compliance requirements
- Manage and issue tender documents to relevant parties.
- Undertaking regular site visits where relevant to confirm existing conditions as well as during project fit-out.
- Familiarisation and basic understanding of design concept, design principles and fixture suite for each brand.
- A Design degree (Architectural, Interior, Industrial) or similar
- Experience within the Retail Design sector
- A basic knowledge of Australian building code
- Experience using the Adobe suite of programs.
