The role

You will be joining Country Road Group as a Store Designer, designing world leading new and refurbished stores ready for construction.

Key responsibilities
- Continually improve the store design by researching and developing new ideas, fixtures, joinery and furniture for stores.
- Arrange design for and/or liaise with external consultants (including but not limited to Department Store Design teams, shopping centre RDM, Designers, Architects, and builders) to deliver a resolved design concept, documentation and specification thereafter, through to the completed built product.
- Arrange joinery drawings, sketches, materials boards, finishes etc
- Review services documentation against tenancy plans to identify discrepancies and resolve in liaison with consultants to suit tenancy plans.
- Project Communications, including liaising with Lessor’s and/or their representatives to ensure smooth and timely approval of drawings
- Obtaining, understanding and working to council, and all other statutory building compliance requirements.
- Issuing tender documents to relevant trades and suppliers Liaising with contractors, trades and suppliers
- Undertaking regular site inspections
- site visits where relevant to confirm existing conditions in preparation of drawing and during fit-out process to assess fit-out works against plans
- Ensuring drawings for projects are completed on time
- Follow-up on construction to ensure that all design requirements and design brief from the architects, engineers, and council requirements are incorporated into drawings.
- Familiarisation and basic understanding of design concept, design principles and fixture suite in order to work efficiently under direction of Store design manager.
- An Interior Design or Architecture degree
- A minimum of 1 years Revit experience
- A basic knowledge of building code
- Project management experience
- Indesign experience
