Electronics Technician

ArcadeXR connects people with games. Our work includes a digital arcade platform, consumer VR, and other exciting titles that engage and delight people with physical gameplay experiences in digital worlds.
Our Game Technicians are responsible for the maintenance, installation, and up time of the games in our Perth based games warehouse. They also play a key role in supporting our players who engage with our games online. The position may be required to act on their behalf of the Operations Manager at times and will work on roster basis that includes weekends on a regular basis.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assemble, test, diagnose and perform repairs to amusement games
- Proactively maintain and test electronic and mechanical functions of amusement games
- Ensure a high level of uptime for all games in the games warehouse
- Order and maintain stock levels for parts and consumables required for the optimum maintenance and performance of the games
- Provide first level support to our players via an online ticketing system
- Identify ways to ensure parts and resources are used efficiently to minimize waste and eliminate unnecessary spending
- Provide support to our customers through online tools and social media
- Maintain working relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Flexibility with time as we have internal and external stakeholders in various time zones
**Required Skills and Responsibilities**:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Capacity to work independently and proactively
- Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience
- Strong personal skills to provide our customers with positive experiences
**Nice to Have Skills and Experience**:
- Experience in the amusement Industry is highly desirable but not essential
- Experience in adjacent fields such as vending machines, photocopiers, etc
- A basic understanding of IT systems and networking
- Forklift License
**Qualifications/Education**:
A degree in an engineering, computing or adjacent technological field is advantageous, but not necessary.
