**About The Role**

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the primary role of Quilting Machine Operator is to quilt different fabrics and foams together to form mattress covers and borders using different quilting machines.

**Key tasks and responsibilities include**:

- Following set daily production schedule
- Operate a quilting machine
- Move finished products off quilting machine and on to the production line
- Adherence to set production and WHS procedures
- Quality inspection of finished product
- Ensure quilting machine is in good working order and report any maintenance issues
- Daily cleaning of surrounding area
- Any reasonable additional duties / assisting others

**Selection Criteria**
- Previous experience operating quilting / sewing machines.
- Experience in a manufacturing, assembling or factory environment.
- Experience in a machine operating role.
- Forklift license desirable

**Salary**: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Thomastown, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
