Comfort Sleep Thomastown are looking for a Labourer / Quilting Machine Operator to join our growing team

**About The Role**

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the primary role of Quilting Machine Operator is to quilt different fabrics and foams together to form mattress covers and borders using the quilting machine.

**Key tasks and responsibilities include**:

- Following set daily production schedule
- Operate a quilting machine
- Move finished products off quilting machine and on to the production line
- Scan tags and submit finished tags to the Production Supervisor at the end of each day
- Adherence to set production and WHS procedures
- Quality inspection of finished product
- Ensure quilting machine is in good working order and report any maintenance issues
- Daily cleaning of surrounding area
- Any reasonable additional duties / assisting others

**Selection Criteria**
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a manufacturing, assembling or factory environment is a plus.
- Experience in a machine operating role highly regarded
- Forklift license desirable

**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
