This Local Government Organisation is located in the South-East. They work closely with the community and provide multiple services. They have a flexible hybrid working model and are seeking an Application Support Officer to join their team and be part of this major Project.

**Your new role**
***
You will join this organisation as an Application Support Officer reporting to the IT Applications Coordinator. You will be working on a major migration project, Solution integration development, configuration and support activities required to implement and enhance various systems used by the organisation.

The key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Work within the ITIL methodology/framework
- Provide second level support for MCC’s IT Business Systems, identifying the issues, putting actions in place to rectify them and following through with the solution
- Management of Production, Test and Training environments of business systems
- Understand disaster recovery capabilities and cutover process for IT Business Systems
- System configuration and customisation
- Manage and implement business systems upgrades including activities as required, such as requirements specification, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and user groups
- Analyse and develop software requirements as required
- Produce project related technical documentation as required, including technical handover documents

You will need the following but not limited to:

- Ability to translate business requirements into solutions for: Technology One Finance One
- Demonstrated ability with workflows and process automation and mapping and documenting system interfaces
- Demonstrated ability in recording and acting upon any problems relating to project and technical quality
- Ability to implement and support implementation of technological project outcomes
- Demonstrated ability with SQL and data management
- ITIL Experience
- Technical experience or exposure with Crystal and Reporting Services; Microsoft SQL, Enterprise Budgeting and Kofax/TotalAgility
- Ability to effectively manage external vendor and supplier relationships to maximise effectiveness of delivery to the organisation
- Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating staff in BAU workshops and BAU projects
- Ability to engage and negotiate with vendors for consulting advice, enhancement, and resolution of issues
- Ability to effectively communicate issues to both technical and non-technical customers of the unit’s services
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline, or extensive relevant experience
- Proven experience in administering and upgrading business systems
- Extensive technical experience with: Technology One Finance; Microsoft SQL
- Working knowledge of MS SQL and scripting languages
- Local Government experience an advantage
