Dog School Dog Handler and Transporter

**About Us**:
We are a dedicated training, daycare, and boarding facility focused on providing excellent care for dogs. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced individual for a casual Dog Handler & Transporter position. This role is ideal for someone who is confident around dogs, enjoys interacting with clients, and has a strong sense of responsibility and time management.

**Main Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Safely drive manual and automatic vans to pick up and drop off dogs from daycare, homes, and our paddock.
- Transport reactive dogs when required.
- Conduct group off-leash dog walks in our fenced paddock.
- Greet dogs and their owners during pick-up and drop-off, providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist with basic office duties and day-to-day administration tasks.
- Supervise, manage, and control groups of dogs to ensure safe play and minimise stress.
- Follow basic training protocols for dogs.
- Walk and train dogs independently when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring high standards of hygiene in both the facility and vehicles.
- Ensure the wellbeing of all dogs under your care, providing the highest standard of care and attention.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and physically fit enough to lift dogs and assist them into vehicles.
- Confident in driving both manual and automatic vehicles, including larger vans.
- Experience working professionally with dogs is required, with formal qualifications or certificates preferred but not essential.
- A good driving record and strong time management skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Competent in using maps and planning transport routes.
- A bubbly, positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Creative and logical, capable of making independent decisions and contributing ideas to enhance our services.
