**Position Information**:
Guildford Public School is situated on the traditional homelands of the Cabrogal people of the Darug Nation. Opened in 1915, Guildford Public School now serves a diverse and multicultural community with 91% of the 640 students being from a non-English speaking background with approximately 26% being from an Arabic-speaking background, 26% from a Dari/Farsi speaking background. 2% of students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. We have strong professional learning alliances with the Curriculum Reform Communities Granville Network and Fairfield Local AECG.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in mainstream classes, with ability to engage students with additional learning and support needs or diagnosed disabilities through quality differentiation and adjustment of teaching, learning and assessment.

2. Ability to provide direct support for teachers of students with additional learning and support needs through a range of strategies including the areas of social skills, language and communication, literacy, numeracy and behaviour.

3. Capacity to use assessment data to identify student learning and support needs, developing strategies, monitoring student progress and evaluating the effectiveness of support strategies.

4. High level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies and parents/carers within a team environment.
