**About the Role**

Roles like this do not come around often This highly successful National Insurance Builder is looking for someone with commercial acumen and technical construction knowledge to run its Major Loss & Specialty (MLS) division in Queensland.

Reporting to the Director | Commercial & Specialty Building you will manage the end-to-end operation of the MLS team ensuring its ongoing profitability. You will work with Estimators, Supervisors and Project Coordinators ensuring the successful delivery of all MLS construction projects.

**Key activities (include but are not limited to)**:

- Overall management of the department’s financial performance (profit and loss);
- Overall staff/ team management, estimating, project management and delivery of MLS construction projects
- Plan, direct and execute make safes and construction projects safely and within budget
- Site-based and office-based work

**Key Skills and Capabilities**:

- Building License or Supervisor license
- Experience in domestic and commercial project management across multiple sites
- Understanding of relevant Building codes, Australian standards and State legislation
- Experience working with clients, building consultants, trades and suppliers, managing staff and business development
- Track record of establishing and maintaining long term relationships/accounts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience within the Insurance Repair Industry (highly desirable)
