**About the Opportunity**
Troocoo are proud to be partnering with Volvo Group Truck Operations in their search for an Environment, Sustainability and Compliance Manager. In this career-defining newly created opportunity, you will operationalise the global Environment and Sustainability strategy. Reporting to the Quality, Environment and VPS Director, you will work closely to maintain high levels of compliance and risk mitigation, whilst building relationships with stakeholders up to Director level. Driving implementation across quality and environment processes and systems, you will be a confident specialist and uplift capability across the business to drive environmental improvements and deploy action programs.

You will also:

- Implement the environmental hazardous chemical management plan.
- Implement and maintain the local EMS and associated plans, including waste management and contamination management.
- Provide high-level solutions which address ongoing compliance needs, including conducting internal audits and support external audits for GTO ISO Certifications, and the ongoing development and improvement of policies, procedures, and systems.
- Support and coordinate sustainability projects in alignment with Volvo’s sustainability objectives, commitments and Volvo Production Systems.
- Partner with leaders in the business to coach around best-practise contemporary Environment, Sustainability and Compliance practises.

**About You**
You will be a determined Environment and Sustainability Specialist who is ready to take their next step into a management role. Bringing a strong knowledge of current legislation (the Environmental Protection Act and Regulation) and the ability to implement strategies which address and exceed compliance requirements. You will be confident in your ability to influence leaders and provide exceptional coaching and guidance around industry best-practise. As you operationalise the global strategy, you will bring effective innovative solutions to address global environmental standards.

You will also bring:

- 5+ years’ experience in an Environmental Specialist role in Australia.
- Qualifications in HSE / Environmental Management or similar.
- Strong knowledge of current legislative compliance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Manufacturing or heavy industry experience is not mandatory but will be highly regarded.
