Medical Receptionist

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated **Medical Receptionist** to join our growing team. This dynamic role involves working across multiple disciplines and supporting both clinical and administrative operations.

**About the Role**
This is a **multi-disciplinary administrative position** supporting the medical, allied health, and dental teams including medical reception duties.

Training and professional development opportunities will be provided as part of this role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Front desk and reception duties, including greeting patients and managing appointments
- Processing payments and claims via **HICAPS** and Medicare
- Assisting medical, allied health, and dental practitioners with administrative needs
- Maintaining sterilisation and clinical equipment
- Managing patient records and ensuring compliance with privacy and data protection standards
- Supporting practice operations and contributing to workflow improvements
- Providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience

**Essential Requirements**
- **Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administrative role**:

- **Experience using Best Practice software**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional presentation and work ethic
- Excellent computer and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work efficiently under pressure
- A caring and friendly personality with a strong patient focus
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to teamwork

**Desirable Qualifications & Experience**
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration (Medical) or similar qualification
- Previous experience in dental or allied health settings
- Understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures
- Willingness to undertake further training and professional development
