Our client, a global Oil and Gas Operator are currently seeking a HSE Advisor for an initial 12 month contract with the opportunity to extend.

The HSE Specialist, Waste Management Coordinator will establish a consistent Waste Management Process (including supporting tools) across Barrow Island i.e., Gorgon, WA Oil, Wells and Projects. A key aspect of the role includes raising awareness and fluency on waste management requirements and working closely with a range of stakeholders e.g., Planners, Waste Owners, and Business Partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Focal Point and “go to” for waste related queries across the various teams (Production, Maintenance, Projects) and the various contractors and levels (Leadership to Crews in the field handling the waste) Whilst the role is not responsible for contractor management of CWY and CRs, the role will have some level of oversight over these contractors given their touch points with waste management.

- Provision of sampling guidance; CoC template generation; review of sampling results, Dangerous Goods advice as it relates to waste management.
- Maintenance of Waste Tracker and input of specific information.

- Provide sampling support. There may be instances where the role could complete sampling on ad-hoc basis and build teams fluency on how to take a sample. However, being the one responsible for sampling the waste is not a core responsibility of this role.
- Complete waste safeguard verification and assurance activities.
- Ensure waste regulatory requirements are met.
- Identification of streamlining, simplification, and waste minimization opportunities.
