**The Role**
**Ventia **are seeking to engage an experienced and qualified **HSE Specialist** to join our **LNG Maintenance Contract at Barrow Island**. Reporting the HSE Lead, this role will see you support the final stages of a shutdown for approximately 4 to 8 weeks, commencing ASAP.

This casual short-term position is a rewarding opportunity for a talented individual to partner with operational personnel and the integrated site HSE Team within the maintenance area. You will be providing leadership, advice and support for compliance and operational excellence in health, safety, and environmental matters.

**On Offer**:

- Competitive rate of $100.00 per hour (_including casual loading and Super_)
- Initial flight and return flight at the end of the shutdown
- 12-hour shifts

**Key duties, but not limited to**:

- Partner the delivery of HSE performance targets and objectives in the HSE Management Plan
- Provide technical content for the development of HSE system documents
- Promote an organisational & HSE culture, where incidents and hazards are reported and where investigations involve line management to identify and correct the root causes
- Site inspections and interactions with work groups across all scopes of work, using associated inspection tools to document findings
- Provide support and fulfill a key role in Turnaround scopes of work as required during execution phase
- Provide advice and assistance to support Managers to ensure the effective implementation of the Operating Excellence HSE systems
- Conduct training in HSE as required and onboarding of new personnel to site

**Requirements**:

- Australian Driver’s License
- Construction Induction (_White Card_)
- Diploma or Cert IV in WHS or significant exposure to HSE and its effective implementation
- Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Competent computer literacy with the Microsoft Suite (_Word, Excel, Outlook etc_)
