**Our Client**

Currently they are looking to recruit a Manager Engineering Services to drive the

development and implementation of strategic, value engineering lead procurement for their engineering services. This will include the day to day management of Engineering Services mechanisms and direct leadership of internal technical specialists.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Site Manager within your division but also working broadly across the organisation your responsibilities will include:

- Lead the Process and People Safety improvement program. This includes a systems approach to behavioural safety to achieve a reduction in TRIFR and improvement in our risk profile.
- Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures.
- Efficiently and safely maintain stock and establish a program to minimise wastage associated with ordering, excess stock or hand, loss and damage.
- Improve the Maintenance Execution process by eliminating sources of waste in support of operational excellence and improving the integration of all relevant resources.
- Responsible for improving the competitiveness of the Refinery by reducing warehouse and contract labour costs.
- Direct Opex budget accountability A$15M, supports spend for a further $80M
- Shared responsibility for refinery hydrocarbon margin of $300 million per annum
- Safe and efficient Warehouse management including buying the bulk of the refineries supplies and consumables to the value of $26M.
- Ensure that we have a highly engaged Maintenance team by maintaining pro-active channels of team communication, achieving a high level of participation in the annual engagement survey, enabling collaborative engagement action planning, creating a culture of recognition and enabling team members to develop and progress.
- First point of contact for workplace relations matters and will play a lead role in the negotiation of enterprise agreements.
- Responsible for Maintenance performance reporting.

**Your Background**

To be successful in this role you will have the below experience & competencies:

- Tertiary qualified in Engineering, those with experience in piping or electrical would be looked at favourably but is not essential.
- Strong understand and experience in Project Management and delivering large multidiscipline programs of works and projects.
- Extensive leadership experience leading technical people and driving change and positive team cultures.
- Ability to understand and review engineering designs and provide input and feedback as and when required.
- Ability to see the vision beyond the next project and understand longer term schedules and where opportunities for better commercial or operational outcomes may exist.
- Experience in the development and implementation of strategic procurement strategies for engineering services.
