Responsibilities

- Assist in the design, testing, and improvement of sheet metal and architectural products such as cladding, flashings, and rainwater goods.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support accurate fabrication and installation.
- Review and refine manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality standards.
- Conduct testing and inspection of products to ensure durability, safety, and compliance with industry codes.
- Provide technical guidance to fabrication teams and support the introduction of new equipment or technologies.
- Prepare reports, technical documents, and recommendations for management and clients.
- Monitor workplace practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with designers, production staff, suppliers, and clients to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Qualifications

- More than 1 year of relevant experience is mandatory.
- Bachelor degree in relevant field is required.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication methods, welding, and finishing processes.
- Proficiency in using design software to support product development.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify production issues and propose effective solutions.
- Understanding of building codes, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to work across teams and convey technical information clearly.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable practices.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines effectively.
