**Who are we looking for?**
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a School Engagement Officer to join Marketing and Communication, Chancellery Division.
The School Engagement Officer plays an important role in positioning QUT as a university of choice for prospective students by building relationships with guidance officers, teachers and other stakeholders, and coordinating the logistics for outreach activities. The School Engagement Officer also provides course and admission information to prospective students, their advisers and supporting organisations, as well as administration support for the Domestic Student Recruitment unit.

The Marketing and Communication Department is responsible for:
- Building and protecting QUT’s brand awareness and reputation;
- Engaging and recruiting future students;
- Ensuring communications from QUT are effective and of high professional standard.
As well as professional services provided to the university community, the Department is responsible for a variety of corporate communication functions and oversees relevant policies, protocols and governance arrangements.
**What you need to succeed**
As a strong communicator, you will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communicate the shared QUT Values in your approach to work.
You will demonstrate:
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a relevant degree in conjunction with subsequent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated strong time management and attention to detail, including the ability to coordinate a range of competing work demands to achieve specified objectives within agreed timelines with a minimum of supervision.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, to effectively manage the logístical and administrative operations for a busy team.
- A high level of interpersonal skills including the ability to build positive relationships, and communicate, negotiate and collaborate confidently with external clients, colleagues, staff at all levels of an organisation and suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to prepare routine correspondence and itineraries or to provide one-on-one advice to clients.
