Who you are

You are both an impassioned foodie and an advocate for providing solid home furnishing solutions for our customers. With a strong understanding of commerciality and competent stakeholder management skills, you are able to influence and negotiate effectively to position the IKEA Food function as a profitable business. You demonstrate excellent communication sills and are able to articulate and co-collaborate with various stakeholders and have extremely efficient time management skills to ensure projects and tasks are delivered in a timely manner. Along with experience in managing budgets and analysing P&Ls, you have a strong understanding of gross margin and topline sales. You are able to lead your team from within and empower your co-workers to make a difference.

**Your responsibilities**

As Food Commercial Manager your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Leading and implementing the commercial strategy and commercial calendar, as well as the IKEA Food communication and cross merchandising strategy in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring a seamless Food customer experience within all Food areas.
- Securing excellence in operations and high-quality standards of customer experience in all Food areas and optimised levels of commerciality are achieved.
- Securing the correct competence within the IKEA Food team.
- Developing and improving the Food business by seeking and acting upon customer feedback.
- Implementing global and national compliance standards (for example IKEA Quality and Food Safety Standards.
- Contributing to the creation and implementation of the unit business plan and the IKEA Food business plan, and ensuring food is connected to the store commercial calendar.

A key role of the Food team is provide a prime dining experience for our customers, ensuring our shoppers and their stomachs are truly satisfied. In line with the rest of the store’s values, we prioritise sustainability and are always on the lookout for new food ideas to keep our customers engaged and that they finish their shopping journey with a delicious taste in their mouth.

Additional information

This role is permanent full time, 76 hours per/fortnight. Internally this role is titled Unit Food Commercial Manager.
