Working at Transurban is different; it’s a place where you can see the benefits of your work play out in real life, every day. We create city-sized solutions—building and operating safer, smarter, and more sustainable roads—to solve pressing transport challenges that are slowing cities down.

About the role

Transurban boasts a multi-billion dollar pipeline and portfolio of assets. As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in future-proofing our business.

Your financial modelling skills and analytical insights will be essential in providing information to our executive committee and board, supporting decisions on both existing assets and future investments.

Our Corporate teams drive impactful change through innovation, collaboration, and proactive adaptation. Join us as an Associate in Corporate Finance and help shape the future of our cities and communities through meaningful, challenging, and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:

- Assist in preparing valuation and transaction materials and reports for: Existing assets, ongoing development projects, and potential future investments, and corporate metrics, including capital structure and company defence strategy
- Support the creation, review, update, and management of financial models for new projects, financing, or refinancing transactions
- Collaborate with other areas of the business in analysing business cases and operational initiatives, and provide insights on their impacts to the Transurban valuation, capital structure, and cost of capital
- Develop project management and commercial skills in the context of mergers & acquisitions transactions

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

- Exposure to new business development, implementation, and corporate finance, including acquisition, investment, capital raising, and divestment transactions
- Analytical mindset to think outside the box and conduct appropriate reviews and financial assessments of projects
- Ability to work with and build 3-statement financial models (including use of macros)
- Strong financial and commercial analysis skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis
- Inquisitive and eager-to-learn attitude, with the ability to grasp ideas and concepts within a toll road environment
- Attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of compiled information for informed stakeholder decision-making
- Adaptable and collaborative, excelling in both teamwork and independent work
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present ideas, findings, and recommendations clearly and engagingly, both in written and verbal form
- Strong work ethic, enthusiasm for challenging roles, and high levels of motivation and drive
- Relevant tertiary education and professional qualifications

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

- A range of flexible working and leave options, including the option to purchase an additional six weeks of leave each year
- 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well
- Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests
- Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more
- Share offers and insurance benefits
- Social activities, community give-back programs and paid volunteer days

We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience - whether they work for us or not.
