**About the OPPORTUNITY**
We have an opportunity for a **Return To Work Coordinator** to join our team based at either our **Edinburgh Parks or Osborne Naval Shipyard** **Offices**. Reporting to the Workers Compensation Scheme Lead, you will work closely with injured workers, their supervisor and Case Manager to plan and monitor a safe and successful return to work, in accordance with the Code of Conduct & Injury Management Standards for Self Insurers, state legislation and business procedures.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting injured or ill workers to remain at or return to work as soon as possible after the occurrence of an injury or illne
- Take all steps, as far as reasonably practicable, to prevent further injury when the employee returns to work.
- Liaise with the employee, supervisor, Case Manager and treating doctor to implement a Recovery and Return to Work Plan for the employee, where required.
- Arrange and facilitate internal and external medical/RTW Case Conferences as required.
**About YOU**
- Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance to a minimum level of Baseline.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workers compensation, health and safety legisla
- Strong knowledge of the SA Return to Work legislatio
- Knowledge of injury management, claims management and case management systems
- Demonstrated experience working in Injury Management and driving RTW outcomes for workers with physical and/or psychological injuries.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in the management of Non-Work Related injuries desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with a registered Self-Insured employer desirable.**
